The Cannabis plant CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is just one of many different molecules known as cannabinoids found in the plant. CBD has many beneficial properties and is commonly used to promote overall wellness. CBD, short for cannabidiol and is derived from the Hemp plant. It is one of over 100 naturally-occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, and is among the most thoroughly researched alongside THC. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that occur naturally in the human body, and actively interact with cannabinoid receptors located throughout the human body. When CBD binds to these receptors, it triggers various physiological actions that help to regulate your appetite, pain sensation, mood, and memory.
CBD can be taken multiple times each day, or at particular times of day, depending on the reason it is being used. 
Hemp is a variety of cannabis that is grown for food and fibers. CBD is a molecular compound found in the plant’s extracts. Our CBD is extracted from a proprietary strain of hemp known as PCR hemp, or phytocannabinoid-rich hemp. This proprietary strain is far richer in CBD and other cannabinoids and terpenes than the basic hemp plant used by most CBD producers.
The term broad spectrum refers to CBD oil products that contain a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and other beneficial compounds found in hemp. While many CBD oil products are made using CBD isolate, our premium broad spectrum oils maintain concentrations of the beneficial compounds that are found in the original hemp plant. If an extract is full-spectrum, this means it contains all phytochemicals naturally found in the plant, including CBD, trace cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential oils. Full-spectrum extracts from hemp also come with a negligible THC content — below 0.3%

CBD is a naturally-occurring component of the marijuana plant that does not cause a “high.” The HSUSA CBD products are derived from the hemp plant, which is a kin to the  marijuana plant. 

Full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD contains cannabidiol and all the other compounds within the plant. However broad-spectrum goes through an additional process to remove the trace amounts of THC, completely removing it after the initial extraction.

CBD is all natural and has healing tendencies. CBD is a great natural alternative for many ailments. Everyone is different and responds differently to different amounts of CBD.  However, if you are under a doctors care, have a chronic disease, or are pregnant or nursing, you will want to consult with your doctor before using any CBD products. 


Quite a bit of research has been conducted on CBD. Being all natural, it has been found that it’s a relatively safe. Because everybody is different with different reasons to take CBD, dosage of CBD are difficult to suggest. Most studies have suggested anywhere between 20 and 1,500 milligrams (mg) per day. There is still a lot about CBD that is being studied. As the cannabis industry grows, researchers will likely conduct more studies on cannabis, including marijuana and hemp, and its derivatives.
